On Friday the 26th June the UK government release a response to a petition calling for all software produced by councils under the Timely Information to Citizens project be released under an open source licence.

GPMD working with NESTA and WELL
We are very pleased to be working with NESTA on improvements to their SilverStripe powered website. Ivan Selcedo from NESTA has been looking for a London based agency to continue to develop there website, after and initial meeting and review of the existing website they have asked us to start work on a list of improvements. NESTA is the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts.

SilverStripe NZ Revenue increases 400%
The New Zealand Herald has published an article on SilverStripe's success since releasing it content management system as an open source product. The Wellington based company has increased turnover by 400% in the past year.
Google Chrome and SilverStripe
The recent release of Google Chrome saw Google's entry to the browser market. It has some nice features and is easy to use, although I think it will be a while before it challenges Firefox and IE.

Controlling Site Links on Google
Google Site Links are the sub link sshown for some sites on the search engine results page. There is no way of forcing Google to link to certain pages, because the links are selected by an automated process. There are occassions when you may want to block some pages being shown, Google allows you to do this through Google Webmaster Tools.
